About Me: I work in feature animation as a research associate with the R&D group. My goal is to design new tools and work-flows that enhance productivity and allow for the creation and rendering of effects and environments that would not have been possible with existing solutions. For "Horton Hears a Who," I wrote plugins for our proprietary renderer to create the clover field and other massive particle-based procedural fur solutions. I co-presented this work at Siggraph 2008 as part of a talk on fur technology at Blue Sky. I also have ongoing production experience as a part-time technical director for fx and fur. It continues to be a privilege to work with so many talented people in a collaborative production environment.
